Watching my son find his first path as an adult has been… well, fascinating. As his mom, I’ve had my own ideas about what might be best for him — ideas that don’t exactly match his dad’s or one of the grandmas’. (Imagine a family committee meeting where everyone thinks they’re the hiring manager. 😅)
The T? None of our opinions actually matter. He has to find what fits him best. 🧑🚒
The reality? I’m thrilled. He’s in a space where he’s thrived for the past four years, and I’m happy-dancing about it — not just because he’s doing well, but because it’s a reminder of something bigger:
Life is one long search for the perfect fit. 👀
Whether it’s new clothes (ugh, I loathe clothes shopping), a place to live, a romantic partner, or a career — it’s all about trying things on until something feels right.
Reflecting on this past year, I’ve realized that nothing is really set in stone. We test, tweak, and trade things out depending on where we are and who we’re becoming. And what a relief that is! Life doesn’t demand we pick one path and stay there forever. It invites us to shift, evolve, and rediscover ourselves again and again.
Of course, that means our comfort zones get shaken up every so often. The Universe loves a good nudge — or, in my case, a shove — when we get too cozy. Suddenly, we’re back “shopping” for what’s next. (Thankfully, it’s metaphorical shopping, because real shopping? Still not my thing.)
Change is uncomfortable, but it’s also sacred work. It forces us to grow into more of who we’re meant to be. And the key is to meet it with open arms — because getting stuck, stagnant, or resistant just turns us into mosquito-breeding pond water 🦟. And no one wants that.
Lately, I’ve been wandering through my own “what fits now?” season. It turns out the biggest work wasn’t out there — it was inward.
I’ve been releasing old limiting beliefs, cleaning out literal and energetic closets, and listening to Spirit for the lessons waiting underneath it all.
I’m not a pushy person by nature — forcing things usually ends in flames. Not the majestic phoenix kind, either. More like a marshmallow catching fire before you can even make the s’more. 🍫🔥
This season of slowing down and surrendering has helped me open up to abundance in all its forms — not just money. And that’s been a mic-drop moment for me.
On the business side, I’ve loosened my grip. I’m no longer panicking over every sale. I’m celebrating the growth of my email list. I’m asking for help (gasp 😯). And I’m trying on new ideas, one at a time, to see what fits next.
Because when something does fit — truly, deeply fits — you feel it.
And that’s the part worth embracing, learning from, and dancing in for a while.
So, I’ll leave you with this:
What fits you right now?
Until next time… ☮️ 🩷 🙂
