Get out your bell bottoms and crank up the music! As soon as I had the title for this post, I started singing ABBA. Are you one of those people who can connect a song or line from a movie or tv show to an event in life? Perhaps that happens as a reminder that we’re not alone in this world.
Recently, I went out of town with the hubs for a few days. We celebrated our 29th wedding anniversary and visited our boy. It was a coastal weekend in northern CA, so the chances were high that gray skies and rain would be our forecast. Weatherman would’ve gotten that prediction right.
When it came time to go from one area to the next, I realized I didn’t have a booking confirmation for our hotel. I tried to contact the hotel to see if we did have a room, but without a reservation number, no one could help me. So much for having a name as a step…Chances of being charged for a room I didn’t sleep in? 100%! No worries, we paid MORE for a room at another hotel. #sigh
We made a stop at a brewery on the way home so the hubs could have a fresh-from-the-tap pour of his favorite triple IPA that is only available in short release once a year. The chance that it would be on tap was an absolute YES. That’s too strong of a beer for me, especially since I was driving. But he was a happy dude, so score! #win
Do you remember studying probability in math? The basic idea is there’s usually a chance for something happening (i.e. flipping heads on a coin, winning the lottery, looking for your glasses that are on your head, etc.). Right now my focus is the chance of having my course release today.
What are the chances it will be successful? Zero if I never get it out. Ultimately, I went to my oracle cards, and asked what I need to know about the course release. Three cards popped out! Guess there were several things I needed to know.
One of the cards talked about a thunderstorm. For me, the message wasn’t about the actual storm – although there were some great messages about it. What landed was how to view the storm as an exhilarating gift because it shakes up and cleanses the energy to help us feel refreshed. The chance that my course will be released is definitely 100%. It’s what has aligned for me more than other things I’ve thought would (and tried to force) happen. I’m curious and nervous to see where this leads me. Chances are good that I will GROW and BLOSSOM from this path. Until next time…peace, love, and happiness.
